Commitment Continues to Support Our Employees Impacted by Houston Location Closure Due to Flooding
Throughout the month of September, Spaghetti Warehouse is continuing – together with your generosity – to collect donations and provide heartfelt support for “No Kid Hungry” and their mission to end childhood hunger.
From now throughout the month of September, you can donate $2 or more, at lunch or dinner, at any of our locations in Texas, New York, Ohio and Tennessee and you’ll receive a $5 “thank you” card to use on your next visit.
Now, as cleanup efforts continue in Houston, “No Kid Hungry” – with support from its “Dine Out for No Kid Hungry” partners – including Spaghetti Warehouse – is donating a total of $300,000 to the Hurricane Harvey disaster relief and recovery fund. This compassionate endeavor began with an initial donation of $50,000 that was provided to the Houston Food Bank as the storm began to unleash its devastating fury on Texas.
With this generous and thoughtful campaign, additional funds totaling $250,000 are being used for food, water and other critical needs. Add to that, Share Our Strength’s “No Kid Hungry” campaign team is helping to ensure they are maximizing every available resource to help as many children and their families as possible.
As these humanitarian efforts continue, we at Spaghetti Warehouse are following through on our commitment to do everything we can to support the recovery on the ground and to assist our employees, whose employment and livelihood have been profoundly impacted by the hurricane damage and the closure of our Houston location, which was completely flooded in the disaster.
Long after the flood waters recede from the storm, “No Kid Hungry” and Spaghetti Warehouse are doing all we can to make sure children are getting the food and nutrition that are so important.
At the same time, we are helping our employees not just to survive, but thrive.
