Iconic Spaghetti Warehouse finds new home in Columbus Downtown

New modernized concept embraces tradition

COLUMBUS, Ohio (April 11, 2023)—After a year-long hiatus following the roof collapse at its legacy location since 1978 on W. Broad St., Spaghetti Warehouse has announced the opening of a new downtown Columbus location just steps away from Columbus Commons, at 150 S. High St.

The new location will be a more efficient footprint, while offering a dining experience that will be appealing to new guests, including downtown residents, as well as multi-generational families who have a history of memories at the previous location. While times have changed and the menu will be modernized, longtime Spaghetti Warehouse guests will still be able to order several signature items, including its famous 15-layer lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmesan, sourdough bread and Italian wedding soup, Spaghetti Warehouse at the Commons will also offer quick service items, grab-and-go options, and other twists on the menu to make delivery and takeout easier.

“For decades, Spaghetti Warehouse has been loved by locals and visitors alike,” said Ron Reynolds, president of Spaghetti Warehouse. “Our new location is right in the heart of downtown and less than a mile away from our original location offering new and long-time Spaghetti Warehouse guests a convenient location to enjoy delicious Italian food and celebrate traditions.”

According to Reynolds, the pandemic and the repairs needed at the previous location provided the company with an exciting opportunity to look at ways to reenergize the iconic brand in new ways.

Spaghetti Warehouse worked with two key downtown stakeholder groups to secure the new location. The first is the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation (CDDC), which will validate parking for Spaghetti Warehouse customers.

“CDDC is ecstatic that the iconic Spaghetti Warehouse continued to invest in our vision for downtown, and our collective aim to increase the number of family style, value driven restaurants surrounding the local businesses and Columbus Commons area,” stated Matt Lutz, CDDC’s chief development officer.

The second are stakeholders Robert J. “Bob” Weiler, Sr. and Patrick J. “Pat” Kelley, who have a commitment to the advancement of quality commercial real estate and businesses in the region.

“Spaghetti Warehouse has a special importance to our region for many who have lived and worked in this great city and it’s our honor to see them downtown continuing their legacy,” said Weiler.

According to Reynolds, the new location is expected to open in fall of 2023 and regular updates including the announcement of new menu items, interior design and preopening events and opportunities, will be shared on the company’s social media channels, @spaghettiwarehousecolumbus.com.

“The restaurant’s future looks bright, as it is within walking distance of several theaters, museums, and other attractions, and will have seating for approximately 200 people,” said Reynolds.

Finally, Reynolds said that Spaghetti Warehouse’s beloved trolley car will also make an appearance in the new location, as the restaurant’s architects work to ensure a modern interpretation of the iconic feature.
